Planet in space usually revolves around the star. But one fine day, when looking for a murky dim star a group of scientists stumbled upon something that was a planet, drifting alone in space.
The lonely planet was aimlessly moving around space without a star. The theory that planets circle the bright star in its way makes sense since planets form from material that is left over when a star is born. This planet looks like Jupiter big start.
Scientist believed that gravitational forces might have flung this planet away from it's star.
This planet was found on October 9, 2013, using Pan-STARRS PS1 wide-field telescope. It has a name PSOJ318.5-22
